Michelangelo architetto a Roma is at the Capitoline Museums through February 7.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art will display a marble sculpture of a young archer, attributed to Michelangelo Buonarroti, for the next ten years, as a special loan from France.
Also opening today is an exhibition of North Italian Drawings, 1410-1550 from the Robert Lehman Collection and the Department of Drawings and Prints.
Michelangelo Public and Private: Drawings for the Sistine Chapel and Other Treasures from the Casa Buonarroti is at the Seattle Art Museum through January 31.
“From Raphael to Carracci: The Art of Papal Rome” will be at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa through September 6.
Michelangelo: Zeichnungen und Zuschreibungen is at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, through June 7.
From Michelangelo to Annibale Carracci: A Century of Italian Drawings from the Prado is at the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois, through April 5.
