If you’ll be in the DC area over the upcoming holidays, be sure to check out these exhibits & events:

• The Art of Power: Royal Armor and Portraits from Imperial Spain, at the West Building of the National Gallery of Art, will close on November 29. There’s also a small quadricentennial exhibition of the works of Judith Leyster, and the Beffi Triptych is on display until January 10. (Also at the National Gallery: a lecture by Steven F. Ostrow on the angels of Caravaggio on November 29.)
• The Terra Cotta Warriors are at the National Geographic Museum through next March.
• Imagining China: The View from Europe, 1500-1700 is at the Folger Shakespeare Library through January 9.
• Falnama: The Book of Omens is at the Sackler Gallery through January 24.
• Lars Brownworth, author of Lost to the West: The Forgotten Byzantine Empire That Rescued Western Civilization, is doing a lecture at Meyer Auditorium at the Freer on December 2.
• There’s several early music concerts scheduled in the area.
