Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI feel I have to mention that ‘Comtat’ is not a place name, but simply the word for ‘county’; so the exhibition title is “The Muslims in the County’.
Catalan isn’t one of my stronger languages, but I thought it might have meant the comarca of Comtat. (Cocentaina is in Comtat, which is in Alicante.)
Hmm, you could be right as I hadn’t noticed the comarca’s name, but the definite article of `al’ and `del’ seems odd if so; I would expect `a’ and `de’ with no article. That said, many Catalan place-names do carry an article, so I’m no longer sure.
