Continuing on from last night’s post about 16th century tents, here’s a selection of images of tents and pavilions from the 15th century.

And because I am feeling lazy, I will further note that Mandragore finds several hundred more illustrations in the BNF that feature tents, and most of those are from the 14th and 15th centuries.

As to references to tents, here’s links to the Middle English Dictionary s.n. tent(e) and also paviloun. There’s also some interesting references s.n. logge, which sometimes seems to have referenced a tent, booth, or similarly temporary dwelling-place.
